From Corporate Life to Mediterranean Dreams
After years as a management consultant and finance professional, navigating boardrooms from Virginia to Atlanta, I found myself yearning for something more meaningful. The ancient wisdom my mothers had been sharing, drop by precious drop, called to me.
So I made a bold decision: I packed my life into two suitcases, took my two young children, and moved to Cyprus to live among olive groves that have stood for centuries.
This immersive experience opened my eyes to the incredible diversity of olive oils. Each village, each family, each harvest tells a distinct story through flavor: the peppery intensity of early-harvest Koroneiki, the buttery richness of late-season Kalamon, and the bright, grassy notes of Lebanese Souri.
I started smuggling these oils back to friends in the States (totally legal smuggling, don't worry), and watching their faces do that thing—you know, that "holy-moly-where-has-this-been-all-my-life" expression.
